Theiving buggers..
Came out of work today, and as i was walking toward the scoob i thought, the rear wheel looks a bit odd, shiny round the wheel nuts and oddly dark..
yup you guessed it some scrote has had one of my domed capped nuts away.. must have been some time ago, cos the area where the nut sits in contact with the wheel, is all dark and obviously has been exposed to the elements for some time.. and before you start.. yes they were tight, one thing i am picky on!! all done up and checked and dotted with a torque wrench.. question is where did the little sods do it?? liuckily i have spares from when my locking wheel nuts went on Mart |
Probably didn't realise you had locking nuts until he actually came to that nut to remove it.
You're lucky you only lost one :P |
Could have fell off...it does happen (re: Lionel "Rich Tea" ;):D ).
Did you know your supposed to re-check the torque on the wheel nuts about 50-100miles after a service/tyre change with alloy wheels- most people don't bother, and most of the time it doesn't matter. Mind, I'll never forget looking out the office window out of boredom and seeing a split rim alloy wheel roll down the road...followed by a man in a smart suit chasing after it....with a 300zx nissan parked further up the road on 3 wheels :lol1: |
