Hero and inspirating? You donīt want to start a war, wont you?

Should be good.

Robin Lane Fox was Stone's historical adviser.
His 1972 work on Alexander is pretty much regarded as the standard.

Heard an interview with Robin Lane Fox on Radio 2 last night , he reckonds the film is a more or less historically accurate (which is what i am after ) dont think the Amerericans could cope with Alexanders bi sexuality in the film

It has been slated by the critics both sides of the pond. Funniest comment I read was ' the only highlights of this film are the ones in Colin Farrels hair' :D

However, I will make my own mind up, as the critics have also slated many great films in the past (Star Wars particularly).

Geezer

Read an article at the weekend in my local chinese. Absolute pasting and favorite comment "And apart from anything else, why has Stone seen fit to give everyone Irish accents"

Article was a full 2 page mauling. I'll watch it anyway becuase I'll watch most films just amusing that the critic couldn't fit his disgust of the film into one page.

Saw a copy the other week and I loved it! As an Alexander fan(historically), I thought they portrayed him as homosexual correctly so! He was so driven by power and domination of the world, he didn't connect with women sexually. Although he should have been shown slightly more ruthless, after all, he never took prisoners!

Heard a report that said Colin Farrell had a screening for his mates - whose response was...

"I prefer Gladiator"
