tow job?
 

The other day i parked in an area marked "tow-away zone" which i often parked in in my old car (FF) then i got to thinking...

Can someone tow away a scooby if you leave it in gear?

seeing as most tow vans have a spec lift of similar, leaving 2 wheels on the road, what would happen if they tried to tow off my car?

would they be responsible if they knackered it?

won't be parking in tow zones even off season, just in case.

has anyone had any expierience of this?

p.s. in the end i bailed on the spot and parked 500m up the road. paranoid of destroyed transmission/diff.

Your typical garage tow trruck is two wheels but those used for clearways are flatbeds. Up on the crane and off it goes
