Browser is fooked!
Something has nailed my browser (I.E.) and keeps resetting the homepage!! I've ran my virus checker, spybot and just downloaded and run Ad-Aware but nothing seems to be able to shift the little barsteward.
Anyone got anything else I can try? I remember a while back on my old computer I got something similar and someone gave me a link to a little bit of software thats sole purpose was to nail programmes that re-set your homepage, etc. It worked brilliantly! |
Try Hi-Jack This
Ditch IE and use Firefox. |
Done a system restore to a few days before this began as I've not done anything on the computer since that I particularly care about. This seems to have fixed things :)

The System Restore feature can sometimes be used by browser hijackers to re-instate themselves. If you have any more problems switch system restore off and then run your anti-spyware programs.
Using Firefox is also a good way to avoid IE exploits |
You could try installing webroot spy sweeper, this can protect your homepage and I swear by it, it's far superior to spybot, Adaware, etc. Other good packages include Aluria spyware eliminator, Xoftspy and spyware blaster.

Another vote for Firefox - great little program :)
