my 'TYPE-R' problem

:mad::mad: PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG :mad::mad:

I have a 1998 STi Type-R Impreza - the one with the electonic diff. Unfortunately i have a problem using it now, where the further i put the diff up the nothces towards 'locked' it makes a strange rubbing noise on FULL LOCK.

Has anybody else ever had this problem? And does anyone know what it is? I don't want to take it to the garage without having an idea what it's gonna take to fix!

simply don't use at "lock"..............you will always get strange noises as you approach diff lock at low speed as the transmission attempts to limit the "slip" of the wheels........................personally wouls never use at anymore than 1st orange on the road in "normal" use as to be honest with an "open" front diff there is not much benefit in overloading the front axle.............
