DIDNT REALISE I HAD TO WAVE
anyone out there that is from the york area with a scoob. I got mine about 3 weeks back and love it to bits. Im new to all this but one thing i do like is the fact that all scooby drivers acknowledge each other. They either flash or give a little wave, i love it, it takes me back to motorbike days when u always at least get a nod, unless their stuck up pr'#ks riding puffy bm's.
kEEP SMILING AND WAVING GUYS, MY MRS LIKES IT TOO, SHE LOVES THE ATENTION FROM ALL THE BLOKES WHEN SHE'S DRIVING THE SCOOB (RECKON I NEED TO HAVE WORDS WITH HER. |
What scoob is it ?? 4 door, wagon ect ?? Im in classic 4 door peppermint (green) with some mods ,
|
hehe, Id best keep my eyes peeled for a waving scooby driver then!
:D |
Waving, thats just the start of it. Big smiles and empty pockets. Worth it though.
|
what you got bullet? I'll give ya a wave if ya ever out scarborough way
stevie |
Yep always give a finger, unless the kids are distracting me and I'm to late!
|
hey stevie boy i was out your way yesterday, took the mrs and nipper out to the coast. It was freezing and looked like it was gonna rain so we quickly got back to sunny york (yeah right) and tucked the scoob back up in the garage.
Im driving a silver 4 door saloon my99 with sexy 17"oz prodrive wheels, prodrive spoiler. I'll keep my eyes open 4 u stevie nexy time i'm out your way. Where you at alanbell, r u anywhere near me? I need some mates with scoobs, or is it i need some mates full stop. Oh and rokay ya right, big smiles and empty pockets but it is worth it. I dont mind going to work now cos i know i've got something that i own and love that i've worked for. one last thing to ask you guys, is it normal to talk to your scoob and to kiss it whilst stroking the bonnet vents when you have it all tucked up in the garage ready 4 bed or do i need to see someone about this ? |

Keep an eye out in the Northern Forum for the Buckles Inn (A64) meet on the 1st monday each month, although I'm not sure it still happens. Alternatively, but a bit further for you to travel, come to the WYIOC meets at the Trading Post, Castleford, last thursday each month. Anthing between 8 and 20 Scoobs, plus Evo's, a Porsche RUF and Ferrari 360CS  regularly in attendance. We also do convoys to events such as Elvington, NBO etc. and have our own trackdays 2-3 times a year. Great bunch of people, always welcome a new face :D
Just to tempt you ;) |

Welcome to scooby ownership!
Got mine back in June, was spoilt a bit on the first day of ownership, saw 3 scoobs and all three waved, wasn't sure what was going on at first! (previous car was a mondeo, don't ask!) Love the waving thing, but tend to find on average about 1 in 3 wave back. By the time you've waved its too late to realise its an old giffer driving who doesn't give a 5hit who's about other scoobs. (Apologies to any old giffers who wave, just not had a wave from an old giffer yet!) On the whole though, a friendly bunch, and despite empty pockets a great car to have. Hope to see you on meets and such like. Although... still trying to make it to my first one! Bloody missus and kids and babysitters.... ;) MichaelH |
Funnily enough I was in York yesterday and waved to some bloke in a shiny and clean blobeye WRB STI.
He was going too quick for me to see if he waved back. :norty: |
im about 5 mile out of york, live right near a village called dunnington.
corradoboy, thanks for the tip off about the meet at the buckles inn, i know where that is, only about 7 mile from me. With a bit of luck it still happens, suppose i'll soon find out when i turn up. Cheers guys, keep waving. BULLET. |
