Evening All,

Spent the afternoon fitting a heat shield aroung my induction kit. Now cruises at ambient temperature. Well Chuffed :)

Martin

SUBTYPER 06 March 2005 06:04 PM

So where did you get the heat shield from Martin. Need to organise a massive Subaru convoy on the 24th of June 2006 for Liz and my Wedding day.

:D :D :D

hows you and sam then?

Ninnybobs 06 March 2005 07:54 PM

John,

Heatshield was some carbon fibre that Harvey supplied, backed with some heat resistant material and cut to shape to blank off the induction kit from the rest of the engine bay.

Could be a noisy wedding if you want a convoy of Scoobs. Congrats to you both.

Hey simon,

Good to see you posting again...

Have a few plans for my track car, Just something that i dont have to worry about crashing and costing the earth to fix.....Its going to have TTS logo's down the side...

Ive ordered the Tow Bar for my new road car, the car is still on a ship at the moment and will be here in the next 2 weeks, so im carless at the moment, relying on lifts..Fells like my legs have been chopped off.

To top it all eathanrob did a (Was It You) on my car somewere near Manchester with its new owner driveing which made me very sad...:(

Soon as i get my new wheels i will come along to a meet, and i still want to be a part of the NBO and help out where i can for the good cause.........

Any TTS member want any of this stuff, ill do at cheeper prices.....

Ask Scott about colour coding, all you need is your paint code which can be found on your ID plate (nearside suspension strut) costs about an extra £70.

Fitting was simple, remove 4 plastic lugs, line up the spoiler and use the 11 bolts provided. Some holes did not match fully so a little drilling was required.
Supposed to re-use the plastic lugs but found 1 set of holes completely off and the other set a little tight. But I think 11 bolts will be more then adequate:D
Cable tied the rest;)

richiewong 07 March 2005 10:23 PM

Right then, a quick beer, spot of TV, bed and back to work in the morning.

Night All

Quiet in here this afternoon

SUBTYPER 08 March 2005 08:02 PM

Hi all Wenty past your Wash today Mickey. Your car was looking fairly ncie and clean. Mind you looked pretty quiet was gonna pop in and get you to do the wagon for me. Its a **** rip at the minute. Mickey is Blythe car wash doing a special offer as at about 4pm they were queuing out the carpark.

StickyMicky 09 March 2005 07:16 AM

the blyth wash did twice as many cars as us last week

the owner of the blyth wash was actualy at mine today to do a spot of welding, and i asked him what his was like, apperntly hes been there 9 years so he must have worked up the reputation, quite a bit.

we still washed 87 cars yesterday and around 4pmish we did have a load more come in (people coming home from work etc etc), what time were you going past?

his wash has no compotition at all ,for miles and miles in his area, we have a hand wash place about 1 mile down the road which probably explains a lot, and when the place opend up im told the amount of cars coming in was slashed by a large amount, which also seams to be slowley going back to normal as the weeks go by? i think there cheapest hadnwash is still about £5? and our carwash can do a wash and blow dry for as little as £1.80 and your through in 90secs as apposed to waiting around for 5/10 mins, i dont think they do valets? and we do loads (about £100 worth per day is the average)

i was honestly suprised how many cars blyth actualy does when i found out, if the blyth owner does as many valets as he lead me to belive he does, then hes easy earning £65k from the carwash alone a year plus say £20k a year from his valets, and he was winging to me about being sick as fook  ??
