Will it be available in LHD for Europe?

My guess is no, i reckon the only reason we get it here is cos it's made in rhd for the aussies, awesome car i reckon, esp for the money...

<drool> 6.0 V8 version out soon...... (LS2) Lovely cars. I had a diamond black one parked up next to my sparkling (for a change) diamond black Cally Turbo... and I had NO camera with me!!!!

Even the owner said it would've made a great photo...

No reason why it couldn't be, a LHD version badged as a Pontiac GTO is sold in the states

Tidgy 24 December 2004 08:27 AM

do you mean the opel monaro???? if your in europe is opel anyway lmao

Is this pontiac GTO an exact replica?
The reason why I ask in my unclue works in Germany and owns a Chevy Camero z28.
He loves the car but getting parts for it is a pain tn the arse.
So I told him about the Monaro going for sale in the UK.
He is very interested in buying one but would need a LHD model.

Is Opel bringing out the car in Europe?

Woud Opel service and maintain the Pontiac GTO?

Scott

Maybe there's some detail differences but it looks like it has just been rebadged.

Try this

From what I've read in teh magazines the GTO is a Monaro rebadged, with a few suspension changes (softer I presume) and minor exterior/interior changes. Not sure if the engine spec is the same, but seeing the standard base model UK Monaro has the boggo standard 5.7 so output should be the same or higher.

Probably an idea to try getting a Canadian import instead of US (if possible) - then at least you'll have a speedometer that reads KM/h rather than MPH.

Wouldn't know if Opel would want to service, there is no reason why they can't..but we all know what main dealers can be like ;)

AFAIK, the fuel tank design is different on the GTO when compared with the Monaro, & the UK spec Monaro has the GTO fuel tank. This I read from some Aussie mag.
