it is the 2nd half of the thousand P1s that Prodrive made ie 500th onwards :)my car has the same stage 2 stamp on the plate :)

Stage 2 is the second phase of manufacture that happened when the cars reached the UK and applies to every one of the 1000 built. Basically the first part of manufacture happened in Japan, the second part happened in the UK when all the parts were fitted that couldn't be fitted on the 'line' in Japan such as 17" wheels and tyres, springs, spoilers etc.
