Spoiler Broke by W*****s

Just got in on Friday night / Sat morning when My next door neighbour came running to our house, Two A$$holes tried to break my sti spoiler off by leavering it with something hence to say the spoiler broke ! my misses is 3 months preg and giving me lots of pressure to get rid of it, Love the car to bits so I'm trying
to ease her mind but i'm struggling only had the car 6 months from new.

sorry to hear it. It does happen and chances are they will have another go once you've replaced it. Either beef up security (ie cctv + floodlights) or get rid of it altogether and something a bit more stealthy.

I have had problems with people( scum) turning up in the middle of the night and checking out our house.

I always park our car straight in the garage when we arrive home. You just never know.

skubyman 22 December 2004 10:15 PM

Unfortunatly we haven't got a garage, and it was parked on our drive 3 meters away, i think will try with the security first, cheers for your thoughts...

I had my spoiler torn off in broad daylight while at the football in Paisley back in February.Dealer charged my insurance company about £1,300 and I lost what

little NCB I had left.....B*ST*RDS!!!
Dealer also heard of owners having air scoops and other bits and peices torn off up here

Sorry to hear it m8, it's happened to me twice now.

I have a clifford concept series alarm/immobilser which has a proximity alert but also you can add sensors wherever you want. I have a sensor on the inside of the boot lid, stuck directly under the spoiler. You only have to tap the spoiler with your finger and alarm goes off. Touchwood, they haven't been back, fekin @rsewipes.

skubyman 29 December 2004 12:32 AM

Thanks for the tip on the Alarms , Is there an independant proximity alarm you can get ? or which is preferable you guys have got ?

There are different models in the concept range, I have a concept 600 which includes twin point immobiliser, proximity alert, window tampering, boot, bonnet and door sensors plus the additional sensor inside the boot. It cost about £700 but I know you can get it cheaper than that.

Since having mine fitted I know a guy who will come to you and fit a more up to date version for less, if you're interested I'll PM you his number.
