Pirelli Pzero nero's direction??
 

Can anyone confirm that the above tyre's fitted to the Pff-7's are fitted correctly when the tyrewall has the outside notice facing outwards.

This means the tyres on the right of the car are on the opposite way to the tyres on the left side of the car.

This seems a little strange:eek: don't you think.

Also did I read somewhere that it's 33psi front and 31psi back?

Why does it? If it has outside on the outside it wont matter which side they go on! They aren't directional.

The tread isn't symetrical across the tyre

Look at the three tread patterns in the middle of the tyre, two go one way one goes the other. Turn the tyre to put it on the other side of the car and your getting a slighty different pattern in the treads ie if you had one tread going forward on one side of the car on the other you have two tread's going forward.

I'm sure its right but it seems a little strange as one side tyre will potentially behave slightly differently to the other in the wet.

I take it you've looked for a direction of rotation arrow on the sidewall?

its ok mate you've got them on right,like you say as long as the side facing outwards is on the outside then your fine as they aren't directional,i understand what your getting at as the tread does almost 'look' directional with two bands grooving one way and 1 band grooving the other way but its not a problem as tyres seem to be getting to a stage now where they are that good at resisting aquaplaning they are concentrating more on dry grip tread design,i.e tread designed to resist squirming/twisting rather than displacing water to the outside of the tyre.

Yes, it was just really a double check, I thought it would be right. Its just when the wheels are off the car its really obvious there is a slight difference when the tyres are on the left and the right off the car.
