Prodrive springs ??
 

I'm new here and would appreciate some advice.

This has no doubt been raised before and can anyone direct me to the thread.

Have just bought my MY 04 Sti with ppp. Cars great but noticed that on some roads the cars quite 'bouncy' and twitchy and doesn't feel solidly planted to the ground, would the lower prodrive springs improve this or make it so solid that it would be a pain to live with on anything other than A roads?

Or perhaps could the geometry be out on the std set up.

Reduced the bouncing on mine and rides better than standard springs. Mine does have 18"s though. Geo will be required after anyway and to be honest for the price/benefit its a superb improvement.

Thanks for that, I also have prodrive 18" so an improvement all round then? need to amend the list for Santa now !

when you order your prodrive springs they come with new geometry settings if your going to fit em replace the rear droplinks for solid items ie whiteline and fit anti lift kit on the front a strut brace would also make an improvement

Is it important that this is done? (drop links and anti lift kit) whats the downside if you don't do it?

Not done the drop links on mine and no complaints. Anti lift on new age?

A big part of what you are feeling is the car getting fired back up by the bumpstop. Our suspension help this considerably with it's new bumpstop and the ride improves with it fitted.


04MY STi has a different rear arb arrangement with ball jointed droplinks so the 'solid' don't fit and wouldn't make any difference anyway.

So if I just use your springs and bumpstop with the geometry reset, that is all that is required? its actually a 53 reg car but current shape so presume that is 04MY.
