Best rock/metal album of 2004
I've left out a few I'm sure but as we've only got room for 10 on the poll...
You can have multiple answers...please list other nominations in the thread. |
Evanescence - Fallen
|
Damn, it's been a good year for rock music ! :)
|
Iwan - Fallen was released in 2003 if I'm not mistaken ?
|
<fx - runs off to check>
So it was, doh! |
Iwan, You can have Anywhere but Home though.
I would n't class some of those acts as Rock though, some of them are very definitely Metal acts. |
Well....best rock/metal album then :)
|
The International Noise Conspiracy - Armed Love

Guns n' Roses out of that list. but i would chose Metallica St.Anger.

Threshold - Subsurface.
Superb album! |
Is the Alter Bridge album good then, ordered it off play.com a couple of days ago. Not actually heard anything by them just going on the basis of creed.
|
The Alter Bridge album is probably my pick for album of the year. I think I played it non-stop for about a month. There's not a duff track on it and I would go as far as to say that they are better than Creed were and that's saying something. Myles Kennedy's vocals are really impressive and "In Loving Memory" is an absolute corker of a track.

Marillion- Marbles
or Rammstein Reise Reise |
Velvet Revolver :D:D Off to see them in January too :D:D:D:D:D
|
Voted for COF on the basis of title track only... I've been out of touch with Rock this year :(
As an aside Razorlight's 'Up All Night' has been my favourite of the year... |
Green Day - American Idiot
|
I didn't include that one in the poll although I know it's very popular...I'm going to pick up my copy of it today - can't resist any longer :)
|
Just got Alter Bridges album and after a few listens sounds like one of the best albums of the year.
Another vote for Green Day also. |
Argh, ****e - I need 3 -
Slipknot : Vol 3 COF - Nyphetamine Fear Factory - Archetype Can't split them tbh. Based on standout individual tracks I'd go for Fear Factory but album as a whole probably Cradle Of Filth. Still haven't got round to getting Velvet Revolver yet. What no McFly or Busted in the options? ;):D |
I think Busted's last offering was in 2003 Phil but I'll google it to be sure :)
BTW - multiple choices are allowed. |
megadeth-the system has failed
|
I was under the impression that Guns n Roses greatest hits was actually called Appetite for Destruction..... ;)
Velvet Revolver gets my vote :D |
