General Scoob Question
Been offered a CAT C written off car...
What does that mean?? I thought only CAT D cars were put back on the road, and that CAT C were pretty well mashed?! Wee bit of input would be nice, cause it looks like a great deal, and I'm pretty tempted!! Cheers, Grant |
Hi there mate.
Cat D is light body damage. Cat C can be fairly heavy and possibly light/moderate mechanical. Cat B is break only. Cat A is to be destroyed. Having said that i've bought damaged cars before to repair, and cars that maybe should have been Cat C have been Cat D and vice-versa! Only Cat C and D cars can go back on to the road. |
Thanks Garth.... Appreciate the reply mate!! :)

Find out where the Cat C repair was carried out A car I owned was repaired to Cat D standards by a BMW Approved Bodyshop. It was returned to us as if it had been in a Cat C shunt (according to insurance assesor who fought our case for us) |
