marks' mince pies....

<<setting the scene>>
Every friday we hold a progress meeting as well as taking a bit of time to discuss next weks agendas.
I work in the building game (man and boy etc) and its a good tradition, we also get a right good feed as it oftens spans lunchtime (if we plan it right).
Normally this feed is small sandwich triangles, crisps, biscuits, pop etc. ust like a kiddies birthday party.
<<Scene setting ends>>

Today is the last meeting before Christmas, whats on offer, mince pies.
HHHmmmm, lovely, small drop of fresh cream, hot chocolate and Im ready to start banging out a piss poor version of "good King Wencesles".
Looking at the packets (theres ten round the table so ten boxes x6 pies) there are St. Micheal's finest, the connoisseur collection no less, happy days are here!

alas no.
they are very small, perhaps funsize (a misnommer if ever there was one!!) would be a better description, nedless to say all 6 were post gullet within a couple of minutes.
Then came the signs, firstly a little bit of wind, quiet enough to not own up but the smell!
<<office vacates for 5 minute toiltet/de-smell break>>
I start the purposefull walk to the khazi, which progresses to an all out sprint while shouting ahead to clear the ****ter of all living things, into the bog, strides round ankles, undercrackers at knee level (true throne pose, only thing missing was newspaper)
BOSH!!
my world (amongst other things) truely opened up,
You know the kind of loaf pinching that only requires a relax of the botty and the contents will fall for themselves, you guessed it, a gravity ****!

ten minutes later and Im well enough to vacate the little boys room and carry on working.

The Lesson,
they might be a top brand, they might be the top of the range but theyre V.Small, not that tasty and make the eye of the needle no challange at all.

wholly disappointed to say the least

 - I only have to think of mince pies and I feel sick, they wouldn't be so bad if they had real mince in them.

I make my own mince pies. Did some last night and just had one - lovely :D

So.... who ate all the pies? ;)

Graz 17 December 2004 02:01 PM

Is it actually possible for something you've eaten to have an effect on you that quickly. Thought it was at least 12 hours or so. Sure you didn't have a dodgy kebab last night :)

"Thought it was at least 12 hours or so"

12 hours???? get a ruler...put one end on your chin...the other on your belly. Unless that distance is more than 50ft you are going to be effected in less than 12 hours!

Your intestines are quite long though (5m?) :p

ah yeah, true enough, but we are now talking about the terminal velocity of a liquid, not a solid state.

turn on the tap, see how long it takes to drain down the plug, no try and shove a carrot down there, much harder/longer time req'd.

innit?

Peanuts 17 December 2004 02:20 PM

also, 5m is only 16'
