12 month review

Fresh back from Bridget Jones last night (not bad) - got me thinking - how's your year been? Would 2004 get the thumbs up or the thumbs down? Highs and lows?

Lows - the dragging on and on and on and on and on (and on) of a house sale.

Highs - 6th August when it actually went through! Had big party and dyed my hair pink!

Def overall thumbs up I'd say! :D

On the whole - not too bad a year I guess

One of the best and worst of my life :)

Lows - Divorce at the beginning of the year and having to live with my then still husband and his girlfriend in the same hosue for 6 months and of course, much worse was selling the Scoob :(

Highs - Finding out I had some *fantastic* friends both in the Scooby community and away from it who got me through all the crap.
Got my own place
Off roading at 10,000ft in the Snow in the Mountains of Italy
Finding out one of my best friends loved me :D
Getting my own 33 year old Landy which I'm going to rebuild :D:D
My first Trials event
Watching the stars floating on a boat in the middle of the solent after several whiskys
Generally getting my life back :)

So, it was a BRILLIANT year, and i can't wait for the next ones :D

It's been a great year for me, new man, new location, new car, new business, I feel re-born, life really does begin at 40 - well 41 in my case :D

High, selling my house to a lady in August, low when she backed out on exchange contracts day to go back to her husband. Still on market.

Very low when crack discovered in back bedroom wall. Major repairs needed.

Highs - Having a third child :D , finally getting a Porker
Lows - Having a third child  not being able to fit the family in the Porker
The year therefore averages as average LOL

Highs:

- finding a new job :D
- getting to reply to (yet) a(nother) condescending, whingeing email from my old boss with a resignation letter :D :D (Everyone should get to do this at least once in their lifetime, it's a hugely satisfying thing to do!)
- new scooby :D :D :D

Lows:

- turning 30, I feel old now :(

Greeny01 17 December 2004 12:29 PM

Mines had its up and downs. On the up side I got my scooby, a car i have always wanted to own.

On the down sides I've been to 4 funerals this year all of which were good freinds / close relatives.

Roll on 2005 and a remap!

Highs
- leaving permiedom and going back to contracting
- moving in with my boyfriend
- Eeyores (and one in particular) and flowers
- finding out who my real friends are
- leaving the crappy house I was renting, which I loathed
- planning to have the whole of January as holiday, and visit New York City for shopping

Lows
- selling my Scooby
- my car being rear-ended whilst I was stationary in traffic in March (insurance claim still ongoing)
- my gran's death
- still living 50 miles from where I work, with most of my stuff inaccessible in storage, nearly 4 months on, when it was supposed to be a temporary measure
- return of allergies I haven't suffered from since I was a child
- knowing I won't have a job to come back to after January and New York City

On balance, it's not been awful, but I am hoping next year will be better.

Hope you get sorted in the new year!
