Question for anyone in qaulity vending machine company.

Hi peeps.

Long story short, we now have a suggestions box at work and I think free tea and coffee would be nice. Ok it doesnt save any money but it would engender <sp> goodwill and would save arguments over whos turn it is to make coffee etc. Also less time waiting for kettle to boil.

Can anyone recommend/tell me how much it would cost to provide it for about 60 employees as in cost per week all in ?

I remember at PowerGen they had coffee stations and good Dowe Egberts coffee, cadburys hot chocolate etc etc, just add milk and suger. Something similar would be good.

Just looking for a rough costing and other good reasons to have it :)

According to our MD (we have about 40 employees, most in the office is usually about 25)

he charges 20p a cup, and he said it still doesnt pay for itself

he reckons a couple of grand a week it costs for our machine, and its cheaper than the last one we had

2K a week on brews

you would be cheaper hiring an old dear, maybe a couple, one morning one afternoon.

I don't think they're allowed to give vended tea and coffee away to staff without paying a huge tax penalty anyway. At least that's what my last boss told us when he clicked it off 'free vend' a couple of years back . It was about the same time that free car-parking came under scrutiny and the tax implications on company cars changed.

I'm pretty sure that if everyone in the company gets the benefit of the free coffee etc then it doesn't incur the taxmans wrath
