Why the price hike?
VAT & shipping doesn't equate to £12k

Add: all shipping costs, then import duty (10%?), then VAT on top of that (17.5%), then shipping agent's fees (for customs clearance etc), SVA conversion work, model report hire, SVA fee, registration fee, road tax, UK fuel remap, underseal, alarm/immobiliser, tracker, locking wheel nuts... *sob*

Nevetas 14 December 2004 10:12 AM

Not so nice :D

wide 14 December 2004 11:33 AM

Still bloody nice but out my league

GC8 14 December 2004 02:32 PM

FYI transportation and shipping costs will be £300 (absolute tops inc de-reg is needed...) and £385 (inc Marine Ins); port fees and Customs clearance will be £100 (less if multiple cars). This is added the cost of the car where Import Duty is applied at 10% and VAT is calculated on the total. This has added £985 to the cost of the car. Id expect the kit required for SVA to cost little more than £400 including a professionally and well fitted quality fog lamp and a Cat 1 alarm. When you add £600 which is generous for an E-SVA test and the hire of a Model Report we are up to £1,985..... The total cost will be about £31,750 but this is calculated at the full retail cost of the car in Japan including tax. All it needs now is more underseal; McGuards; a stereo; registration and tax.....

Details have been uploaded on our website :) Make sure your sat down ;)
£600 :D lol Oh if Model reports were that easy, they wouldn't even fill out 1 part of the paperwork for that :)

Not made myself too clear there Iain; as a round figure £600 for the E-SVA test and the cost of hiring a report combined! -thats the only price that was vague though; as Im sure you will confirm- If it WAS that easy I wouldnt be trying to bullet proof a Type-R right now! :norty:

Simon

Danny B 14 December 2004 07:50 PM

£35,495
Not your fault Iain I know.
Seems rather expensive when you consider that there is a low mileage immaculate S202 struggling to be sold on the SIDC website at the moment for £20k which was also one of only 400 in the world and only one of 10 in the UK...

LitchfieldImports 14 December 2004 08:35 PM

If you have not already had a Model report created yet you'll be shocked at how expensive it is :( At the moment we're the only company with a live report for the MY03+ cars and it was painfully expensive and long winded. If your trying to get a classic Type-R through it's going to take a huge amount of work. If you need any advice feel free to call anytime :)

I said on the site it was expensive, you could have a new Type 25 for less ;)but then I guess some people just like to own something even rarer :)

Iain,

Does the S203 come with free duck tape in case the customer tries to get the speedo up to 260mph! ;)

Damian.

LitchfieldImports 21 December 2004 07:37 PM

:D It would be limited to 157mph with our remap :)

I like it, I'm gonna buy a S202 when I stop riding and sell my wagon but maybe a S203 will be a better bet...love the seats, reminds me of the proper stripped out racers like the 360 CS and 911 RS's...nice car.

I think the S202 was based on a Type C but the S203 is based on the STi IIRC so you might be better getting a S202 IMHO :D
