Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile

TelBoy 13 December 2004 02:21 PM

The fookin search engine is crap now. There was a thread on this only last year (might have been early this year in fact) with *dozens* of great suggestions from numerous users. Why are threads so difficult to find now?

Did Tiggs fall out the wrong side of the wrong bed this morning then? :p

Tiggs 13 December 2004 02:29 PM

there is NO situation on earth where you can have your phone ring, in earshot of others, and think it sounds good playing a little tune........if it happens at work you should be sacked, if it happens in a pub you should be beaten and chucked out.......if you can think of somewhere/somehow it can be a good thing....please tell!

Brendan Hughes 13 December 2004 02:32 PM

Whaddya mean, this morning? Where have you been for the last six months?

I'm with ya!!

When your phone rings, all you want is an audiblae alert that some one wants to get hold of you. I don't stand there and break out into dance!!!!

Though I did have Knight Rider as a ring tone - only cos a mte blue-toothed it to me. ;)

davegtt 13 December 2004 02:40 PM

dont see the point in having a song playing, when are you gonna listen to it cause as soon as it rings you should be answering the fone not fannying about going good tune this aint it...

Agree and disagree.

I agree because ring tones are gay, full stop.

I disagree with even the ring ring bit. After 21 years of mobile phone ownership I've used nothing but vibrate and will continue to use nothing but vibrate.

This place is nearly full of póofters.

Couldn't agree more. Vibrate does it for me. (although I have to have a ring ring too so know it's my phone :norty:

Let ME worry about what I want, oh and the next time you hear a ringtone you don't like, please do go over to that person in the pub and beat em up, hopefully it will be me sometime :D:D

Oddly, i agree 100% with the above. Well said Tiggs.

In my dept i have to endure 'Tubular Bells' about 50 times a day, from 3 surrounding cubes.

As well as the benny hill theme tune, and some $hite by Usher going off at least 20 times a day.

How the fcuk can any sane adult can think that a musical ringtone is a good in any circumstance at all? What's wrong with a discrete beep, vibrate alert, or even 'ring ring'?

Can't do it at work really (without getting fired), but if you're in a pub/restaurant then immediately dumping a ringing phone into a pint of beer/coke gets the message across fairly well.

Idiots

hail-hail 13 December 2004 03:12 PM

weeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it's realy hotting up in here!
Evertime I hear a ringtone I will think of you lot and your complete lack of tolerance, hoping upon hope that my ringtone annoys you more that anyone else.

Oh and I've just thought of a very good reason for everyone to have a personal ringtone: it seems to bug the sh1t out of you lot......up ye!

I'm off to find a volume booster for my phone, ya bunch of grumpy old gits
