Its a great idea...tho yea it is a bit of advertising...but in reality it is not promoting a particular company as such....just giving a tel no and/or email address.

I know it would have benfited me earlier in the year when trying to find Mark the WoW email address or tel no....would have saved trawling through the threads... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Mr Webmaster ....

How about a section on the BBS for useful contact numbers, dealers, "legal eagles", 3rd party suppliers like Dent Removal, chip repairs etc all in one place where everyone can find them ??

I know it borders on free advertising (or actually is free advertising http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif )

Thoughts Simon .....

I like the idea of a contact page, but it is free advertising!

Oh well the idea is cool https://smilecwm.tripod.com/net5/idee.gif

Can't we just have a directory that lists things, bit like in the back of EVO?
Just a straight HTML page, not a page you can post too.

Dont charge for the "adverts" but make the companies offer a small % discount for being a member of the SIDC?

Thanks for the suggestions guys...

OK, I can't see a problem with having an alphabetical listing of companies.

Would this be of enough use?

Cheers

How about a 'yellow pages' type bit (yes I know that making them yellow would be a problem legally)

Alphabetical listing of all Scooby suppliers, but supporters like Scoobymania or WaxWizard, for instance, could have their advert included?

Just my 2 peneth http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Sounds OK to me...

Just though one place for all SIDC/BBS approved contact info ... does'nt have to have "war'n'peace" type descriptions a la free advert just "Chips Away Midlands xxxxx xxxxxxx" should do the trick I think ..

I suppose it could be expanded with services/dealers paying to have their name on the "aproved" list http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
