Having nearly suffered a rectal-prolapse when told how much it'd be for P1 driving lights, I was considering...

1. Buying STI fog lamp covers.
2. Buying Projector-type driving lights.
3. Painting and putting a hole in the covers.
4. Mounting the lights behind them, attaching to the car and wiring-up.
5. "Here's some I prepared earlier"

Comments? (Constructive criticism, please!)

I was also thinking about making my own Ford focus rally car:

1. Buy a packet of cornflakes...Throw away cornflakes. This will become the body-shell - Some welding may be required.
2. Get a rubber band. Now you have a fully tuned Cosworth-zetec engine, to rival the real one.
3. Ooh, wheels, nearly forgot...Ummm...Got any Polo mints?
4. Put on gas mark 4 for an hour.
5. Buy a Subaru instead, you nutter.

Sorry...Slow work day!

he he he

How about a Diy Cossie:
1. Take a an empty fairy liquid bottle.
2. The motor from an electric mirror.
3. Some wet cotton wool for dampers/springs
4. I should stop this now before Rainbird kicks my ass.

Coat Please

Reckon you'll get away with Tescos value bottles.
No cotton wool - don't think they're that effective.
Bag of spanners for the engine sound.
IQ test required first - sub 10 only will qualify.

Answer to the original question. You can try it but unless you can mould the covers so it doesn't look like just a cut hole, may look a little cack.
Unless you can find a decent dealer who can provide the P1 covers. Then it'd be fine.

That all sounds quite good, but i do not agree with the Cornflake box.. it would have to be at least a Weetabix box as everytime a Scoob was near ... it would run away from you very very quickly as it would be scared of all that strength and agility - or is that just because it's quicker? lol http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

PS- Mr Rainbird is going to be very cross.

I'm sure with those projector style lights poking through the (neat and well painted) hole it'd be fine...

Only one way to find out, eh?

"I'll let you know"
