hi k they were second hand of ebay have cleaned them up and there ok. paid £320 instead of the £600 the dealer wanted try scoobyclinic for new as they wanted £400 and you'd at least get the instructions then.

I have a set, if you PM me your address, I'm more than happy to post them to you.

I wouldn't expect too much, they aren't the best instructions I've ever seen

Gary

Morette Fitting...
Open Bonnet (simple)
1.Remove grille. There are latches at the top unclip these then the catches at the base of the grille a long flathead will be good enought to push the catches down, once down the thing just pulls off.
2.Remove the inserts next to the lamp unit, these are held in position with those circular clip things, a couple of small flatheads either side of the circle and flip up, pull the clips all the way out and then remove insert.
3. Remove OE lamps, a simple use of the old socket set 3 nuts from what I recall.
4. Stick your new morettes in place, again socket set and 3 nuts or 2 and a screw thing for the top.
5. Connect the wiring, you can see where the actual lamp wiring goes then you just need to connect the two lamps together with the wires that are just about long enough, there are spade connectors so you cant mess it up, connect to the battery, again correct conectors are already in place so just attach to terminals .
6. Pop your grille back in, drop the bonnet and admire your work.

Would be an idea to align em tho, £5 at local garage

Cheers
Daz.

Gary you have PM thanks.

Daz thanks for that. looks like I may be missing the wire that connects the drivers side to the other, and wire to battery.
have to get messing I think
paul.

Sorry to but in on the thread but I have a set of Morrettes colour coded WR Blue with the electric height adjustment left over after returning the car, looking for offers around £275, can take photos if anyone needs any,
PS. As they were fitted by the dealers prior to taking the delivery I dont have the instructions either but they are a scoosh to fit,
Gary.

Just a thought, the wire to the battery and to join the lamps would prolly be for electronic height adjustment, looks like your should be ok then just no auto adjust.

alright guys...

big problem here...just changed a set of prodrive WR headlights for a set of morrettes...no problem i thought, but ive had a nightmare...think the connectors for the prodrive lights mightve been changed or be non-standard (special prodrive ones?) as ive had to split the casing on the one of the morrette connectors in order to connect to the lighting loom...also, with it all connected, my headlights are cut-out when i activate my main-beam which doesnt work at all...very confused...?!?! has anyone changed from prodrive headlights to morrettes, or if not does anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it...?

cheers in advance, bri...

p.s. im posting this in different forums for maximum exposure...!

It sounds like you haven't connected the Morettes directly to the battery. I found this on NASIOC, the colours may be different, but the principles will be the same.

The Subaru headlight system will be something like -

Driver side- common positive = red/light blue (center terminal on connector)
low beam switched ground = yellow/red
high beam switched ground = red

Passenger side- common positive = light blue/white
low beam switched ground = yellow/red
high beam switched ground = red

The wiring on the Morettes-

Common = gray
Low beam = yellow
High beam = blue

Both sides on the Morettes are the same colors. The gray common should be connected to the common positive for each side. The low and high beam wires should go to their respective switched grounds.

Also make sure the two wires to the battery are connected properly. The one with the inline fuse is connected to the positive terminal, the other one to the negative. Don't go by wire color, the positive may be black.
And there are also the two wires that go from the driver side light to the passenger side. They have to be plugged into their mating connectors in the passenger side light, if they aren't connected the passenger high beam won't work.
When I fitted mine, I had similar symptoms which were as a result of a poor connection to the battery.

Best of luck
Gary
