FAPPIN TW*T NEXT DOOR

So, my car returned last week from the bodyshop, full respray, beautiful job.
Neighbour stops me on Monday "That looks beautiful". Thanks I say.

Working away in the office (kitchen actually) and I hear the unmistakeable sound of a pressure washer.....

My neighbour is cleaning his driveway, it is parrallel with mine..he has succesfully blasted the entire drivers side of the car with high pressure water, patio cleaning fluid and about 30 years of ingrained sh1t and the top layer of his driveway...........................

Just off to set fire to his house

Senior_AP 02 December 2004 11:55 AM

Thick f$ck. Explain to him why he is thick.

Tidgy 02 December 2004 12:14 PM

muppet, he knew you'd just had your car done so what was stopping him asking you to move it onto the road for an hour or so while he blasted his drive?????????

Sorry we have been inspecting the damage......
According to the pressure washer weilding WW2 veteran and his wife, the damage is not too bad, he thinks it'll lift out with some T-Cut......Agreed the damage to my scoob compared to the damage he must have witnessed during the blitz must seem pityfull, but that is not the point.
So far I have remained calm and curteous(sp?) My GF however is seething having difficulty keeping her indoors atm....... oh, hang on he's at the door....

Don't forget to rinse it off thoroughly afterwards. With, say, a pressure washer.

Bottomfeeder 02 December 2004 12:27 PM

Right...............we (actually he) has removed the dirt and sh!t from the car with the hose (detached from the PW) damage is not nearly as bad as first anticipated, however the laquer has taken a sever beating along the bottom of the drivers door. He has told me he is very sorry and has asked that I get a quote from someone to get it repaired (no doubt the bodyshop will want to redo the whole side of the car)...... this guy is about 90years old and is living on a crappy pension which he subsidises with a cleaning job.

God ...... I now feel like Dr.Mengele

In the interest of relations, make him pay then invite him round to dinner when it's all done.

Everyone's happy.

paul-s 02 December 2004 12:30 PM

never mind just post the invoice thru the door attached to a bit of paper sayin 'unlucccky' !!

andypugh2000 02 December 2004 12:36 PM

Thats a shame hes so old, poor bloke!!

My neighbour thought it was great idea to strim his alleyway with my car parked only yards from the end, lucky i went out and stopped him as about 10000 stones hit me in face as i came round the corner, "oh sorry i didnt realise" he said, well what do think a strimmer does you fecking ****!!!

Senior_AP 02 December 2004 12:37 PM

No point owning anything decent these days. People just f$ck it all up.

Scoobydick 02 December 2004 12:42 PM

Hope I can still pressure wash a drive when I'm 90 - although probably some other new fangled surface cleaning machine will have come along by then. Still, wouldn't want to point it at some poor dudes car slash hover-buggy slash whatever they will drive in 70 yrs time.

DemonDave 02 December 2004 12:47 PM

Get him to check his house insurance, they may cover this type of accident under liabilty?

Dave.

RayC 02 December 2004 12:59 PM

I feel for you, do try to have the area buffed by a professional first to see if it will lift, I had a sort of similar thing an old lady just nerfed the rear of my Scoob in a traffic jam with her fiesta, it took two small (5p) sized bits of paint off the rear bumper by the number plate, she was very apoligetic and upset, not structural damage was done so i left it.

paul-s 02 December 2004 01:03 PM

get him to work off the damage by doin chores around your house like cutting the lawn :)

90 year old reverses into your car and only slightly dents your door! Leave him alone he is old! He damages it, he should get it sorted - household insurance should cover it! Shouldn't it?

paul-s 02 December 2004 01:48 PM

^^^^yea i agree. if the dude had been 18 and wearing a baseball cap you wouldve wrung his neck so why not just cos hes old. i mean u aint gotta wring his neck but u know
