Surely you've heard this joke before:

Question: What's the fastest car in the world?

Answer: A hire car! :-)

Ok a serious answer to your question :-)

Not much can live with a Sti PPP at that price point (other than similar Scoobs and Evos). Unless you're prepared to sacrifice some creature comforts and go for something like a Caterham. The there are the usual culprits at a higher price point like BMW M cars, TVRs, Porsches, etc....

Then again, Scoobies aren't all about stright stright line spped, they are point to point machines designed to cover real roads (lumps, bumps and curves) very quickly. Driver skill equated, there isn't much that could keep up in the real world for sensible money, especially in the wet!
