Halfords NOS

Guys,

I've been into halfords today and see there selling NOS Octane Booster for £9.99, it comes in a blue bottle.

I just wondered if this the same NOS that everybody talks about and if so is it any good.

Id stick to Nitrous Formula if I were you; although some people like Millers. NOS may be ok; but it may be piss-poor with a sort-of-similar name to something better.

NOS is one of the favourite OB's in the US and has a very good reputation.

IIRC the blue NOS is street formula, the one I've used is in the black box, and I was quite impressed by it although it was quite hard to get hold of.

Nitrous Formula (NF) does come in different coloured bottles but its Australian I believe; and all of the stuf Ive had is branded NF in red over yellow. Black bottles are 'race' and blue are 'sport'.

I know a lot of people like Millers but Id recommend NF every time; look at their website too.

I cant post the octane chart here because its a .gif image; but it claims to add 2 RON octane points, 98 to 100, for 1ml added per litre... hard to fault.

But the thread is about NOS, not NF. NOS is the brand name of a US octane booster.

whoops ;) both have "nitrous" in the product title, easy mistake to make :)
