School bullying

This is a good strong message to stop the bullying!

"The suspended pupils will be allowed back to school on Monday"

3 days suspension! WOW!!! That'll send a good strong message!

Nothing to do with bullying as far as I can see - simply a catfight. The fact one is younger is not relevant here.

yeah didnt sound like bullying as such. It was one incident, clearly out of hand, but not exactly bullying!

It'd be interesting to see the incident rate at that school after this has all gone down. I think suspension en-mass was a bit strange in this instance as it did seem to be a cat fight.

I was trying to weigh up whether this sort of thing was common at the school and the head teacher was giving it the "enough is enough" approach? Bullying should be dealt with in a zero tolerance way the sad fact is that "one off" incidents aren't usually the problem, it's the constant erosion of the victims self esteem over a sustained period that causes the most damage.

In this instance labelling it as bullying is wrong imo, more like unruly pupils causing embaressment to their school by causing affray.

Bullying has to start somewhere. Would you rather the headmaster waited a few weeks for the girl's life to be totally ruined?

When I was at school there was one girl who was basically the leader of the pack. When she decided one girl was out of order because her boyfriend flirted with her she made sure that everyone made her life hell. Girls can be far more vicious than boys when it comes to bullying.
