Dangers of 24 hour test drive

Anyone seen a letter in the Telegraph from a Professor of Trauma Surgery at Oxford University pointing out the very worrying effects of the Scooby test drive, as interpreted by the X-ray of the body featured in the advert taken after the test, complete with swallowed key?

He points out that both hips are dislocated, which he speculates could be as a result of the 'potent acceleration ' of the car, and he wonders if it is the efficient braking system that accounts for the severing of the lumbar spine from the pelvis.

The upper arm bones are much thicker than expected, an unlikely outcome in 24 hours for a car equipped with power steering, but worse, in the excitement of the test drive the left and right arms have become transposed. Professor Willetts surmised that the conseqent loss of all hand function would result in the need to remove the ignition key with ones teeth, explaining the swallowed object.

It seems that this letter has got the medical ball rolling, for in another letter on the same theme, a Radiologist also pointed out that the the visibility of abdominal organs, (not normally visible on plain X-ray) shows that the bowel has been perforated, and he fears that the tip of the ingested key looks like the culprit.

In the interest of science,I would be interested to know if anyone who has taken up Subaru's offer so far has encountered any of these problems, or if anyone has any alternative theories to account for the injuries demonstrated.

Lol :D Welcome to the forum :)

For those who haven't seen it and don't know what the above is on about, Subaru's recent press ads for the 24hr test drive show an X-ray of someone who's swallowed the key to a scooby (to avoid having to give it back).
