MY02 WRX Window Draft.

Getting a draft / noise occuring on the drivers window.
Its only started happening the last few days.

Get into the car, start driving and then you can hear a draft coming from the window. I open the window, then close it and it stops.
Then again, once i get out and get into the car and drive it starts again, open and close window and it stops.

Propper weird.

No splits etc on any of the seals.
Is there anything i can put over the seals, any lubricant etc.
Anything is worth trying i suppose. Any ideas ?

Thanks
Marc.

I've recentley started to get that on ny drivers side window, along with the sqeaky window when you put up and down!! Comes from around the triangle by the wing mirror!

Yep, same place on mine, propper strange as it goes when you open then close the window. But i cant be doing that every time i get into the car, will have to mess about with the seals.

Will let you know if i can solve the problem.

Yeah I'll have a look aswell. Do you get a sqeaky window also? Mine seems to rub against something within that triangle, think I might have to take it apart.

Gents,

This may or may not help.

The MY01/02 have a recurring problem with the window winder mechanism. What happens over a period of time is that several of the bolts holding the electic winder mechanism loosen themselves. This allows the mechanism to turn, thus winding the window up slightly crooked. Take the door panel off and check all four bolts are tight.

Not sure this is the problem, but its what happened with mine
