IP Address
 

Right then I have a slight problem with a ip address.

The problem is that my computer is the host to the internet and I'm using Zone alarm as a firewall and a internet gateway to the internet. My IP address is set to the 192.168.0.1 on the local network and my dad's address was set to 192.168.0.108 but when I try to ping my dads address it comes up with 192.168.0.87.

Any idea's on how to permantly set the address to a prefered address or why this is happening when pinging.

into control panel

network connections

right click on the lan connector

properties

networking

TCP/IP

Properties

select "use the following ip address"

try and hardwire it that way

may fix it
