Do Subaru dealers prime filters
 

I've always put some oil in filter on whatever car I've serviced but is this something main dealers do? And what did you pay for a 24k service at Subaru MY 2000 Turbo ........Ta muchly

No.

They wipe them with an oily cloth.

Even if they did fill the filter, do you think they'd take the time to "establish oil pressure"* before starting the engine? - I don't think so.......Time is money and all that.
