STi 4 - Dodgy idle?!

Hi Guys

What is a STi 4 supposed to idle at? Mine seems to vary loads from about 600 to 1300. Is this right? If not what would be wrong with it?

Many Thanks

Tom

thats what mine used to do after a good hard run, then i changed the lambda sensor and its ok now idles about 900, so it could be that!

Had the same problem with my sti4! Changed Lamda sensor, problem fixed.

What's your off boost/cruise like? If it "surges", it probably is your lambda. You could try disconnecting it to see if it makes any difference. Also, what's your MPG like...?

Alternatively, what's your on boost performance like? If it "hesitates" or feels lumpy, or in contrast if the car feels faster than usual, it could be your MAF sensor.

I don't suppose you've got an AFR gauge or Knocklink...?

It boosts fine. No hesitation or nowt and real smooth

Most of the time its fine and ticks over on 800/900.
