Lambdalink display whats it mean ?? HELP

Just fitted the lambdalink....urmmm !
It seems a bit like knight riders car :) with NO leds on idle Just the odd red amber or green every 5 seconds or so...

then when driving normal it counts up from the first red to the last amber and back down...then on full
throttle it gives the greens and then nothing on the overun......

Is this normal ??
OR is it suppossed to have a steady reading instead of counting up and down ?? or ??

What am i supposed to understand by all of this ??
Go pedal down green leds lit so not weak mixture on boost :)
Anything else ??

my98 uk

Green earth at ecu bolt

On Idle and cruise the LED's should 'dance' up and down as the ECU is trying to find the stoichmetric point of 14.7 AFR (Closed loop control) but when on WOT the Green LED's should illuminate and remain lit indicating a rich AFR ;)

Cheers

Just came back from a spirited drive up the m5 :)
At level throttle in top no leds??sort of levels out to cruise until you squeeze the go pedal Then green leds,
Knocklink shows a brief a couple of ambers at 7000rpm
