Bad Radio Reception

Have a 94 classic with double din stereo. Have put on a wave band expander, but reception is diabolical. Any clues?? This is my 4th scooby and all have had bad reception

I have a wave expander on my 94 Jap STi as well, i don't think they work well due to not being RDS compatable
Think the only solution is to buy a UK stereo
