Dental Insurance

Hello

Does anyone have dental insurance that they can recommend?

Thanks,

Steve.

I think we're using DenPlan.
Have to check when I get home.

Whatever it is - its far better to pop the premium into your bank account and pay for treatment from that!

DenPlan - does NOT pay for Lab Fees!! Lots of people round here are up in arms over that little published clause!! Some people actually think that it covers everything - it doesn't! Crowns have to be paid for, dentures have to be paid for, etc. etc.

The Dentists round our way, if they don't fancy doing something covered on DenPlan, they tell you that you need 'Specialist' treatment and that specialist 'just happens' to be coming into the practise next Wednesday!! The reality of course is that specialist is a Locum and pays a referral fee to the Dentist (this specialist work is, of course, NOT covered under your DenPlan!!)

Its a game isn't it?? Luckily I know a superb dentist! :D

You'd need to know a good dentist Pete, too many people want to kick your teeth in judging by some of the reactions round here!! :D :D :D

I've just cancelled my contract with Denplan, the premium had crept up to from £8.50 to £16.20 a month over a few years. That was just for me, not a family.
As Pete says, you'd be better off banking the money.

Mine too:rolleyes: The thing is, I know if I cancel mine I'll never go back in, I'll do it next month....then I'll be faced with a massive bill I'm sure!
