From Fogs to Spots HELP.
Hi Guys need some help.
I have replaced my front fog lights with spots on MY96 UK Classic. At the mo they only work on the fog light switch, is it poss to take a feed from the main beam switch to power the fog relay ? Cheers Red. |
yes

If you've fitted driving lights, they must, BY LAW, only be selectable when main beam is selected, ie: they can come on when main beam does, and cannot when main beams aren't selected.
Tey MUST also go out when main beam switches off. Wiring is easy on a classic and a bit harder on new age cars, but still relatively simple. Use of two relays, and a bit of extra wire makes them controlled by the foglight switch so you don't HAVE to have them when main beams come on, eg: round town. Alcazar |
Thanks for the replies. Where can i get a wiring diagram from.

Sent you a couple via e-mail.
Forgot to say: simple method requires you to buy one relay, foglight switch method needs two. Try and get relays with fuses on them, the relays need to be 4, or 5 terminal on/off relays. Helfords, car shops etc. Fuse values:2 x55W: 15A (10A maybe) 2 x100W: 20A 2 x 130W: 25A Alcazar |
Alcazar.
