Just let some of the smaller/ meduim rockets that are on sale at lidls,

the bigger one were ok, went up 40-60 ft before going off

the smaller ones have problems, so far 2 out of 5 dont have a lot of propellant

they made approx 20ft before going off. It was like peppering the ground with flares!!!!

how we didnt singe anybody i dont know!!

All fire works are bad! Unless it's 5th Nov, or New Year.

If you'd have waited until the 5th they'd have been fine.

pslewis 31 October 2004 10:24 PM

Indeed Mart .... the Lidl's fireworks only work on 5th November!!

Our neighbour started letting them off, I kindly adviced that it was too early, he said what would happen if he continued .............. I said that the hospital will not take too kindly to removing a box of standards from an arsehole! ;)

BAN THEM!!

Pete

Agreed - ban time. Though its not been as bad as previous years, should only be allowed on the night, nearest weekend day, new year and organised displays only.

vindaloo 01 November 2004 11:29 AM

Well I like fireworks. Don't ban them. Regulate them properly and we won't have too many problems.

IMO you will always get kids/yoofs acquiring fireworks and letting them off wherever they like, even if they bring them back from abroad.
