After talking to a few people, Betts has decided to produce the WR1 style grilles for the blobeye imprezas, this is for the tops and bottoms in stainless steel, and TIG welded so it won't rust.

At the moment, we're making up templates for the classic Imprezas, so they should be available soon.

The price is 120.00 fitted (2 grilles)

Budgie 25 October 2004 05:40 PM

thats good value
subaru wanted £250 as far as i can remember
and that was last year

Cornelius 25 October 2004 05:50 PM

Here's a pic of what you'll get, and it genuinely looks a lot better in real life:

If anyone is interested, PM me, and I'll give you Betts's number.

A bugeye is required so a template can be made for that model, if anyone can help, give Betts a call, I'm sure something can be arranged!!

Cornelius 25 October 2004 06:17 PM

I thought that too mate, but J said to post it up, so who am I to argue, ;)

I know Betts is looking into a few idea's for your car, it's where the side of the splitter goes into the airdam thats causing a bit of grief, but he'll be able to do something

Cornelius 26 October 2004 07:43 PM

Tiny, I think Betts wants to measure your splitter saturday, so he can mould the grille round it

Ohhhh Flame kits ;)

Cornelius 17 November 2004 06:36 PM

tuscan, an aluminium grille shouldn't be too much of a problem to make and it can be anodised red, blue, gold, or other which would look pretty good.

Sorry, The Better Half, we've already made a jig for the classic, as modelled by my car at the H/H meet last week!!

Things have gone more than a little crazy at work for Betts and I at the mo, so there may be a delay for the grilles, though, we'll try to get them done as soon as possibe

Here's the classic grille http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...s1974/mine.bmp

Cornelius 17 November 2004 06:40 PM

Scoobynut, which model do you have? I've accidentally deleted your PM

Cornelius 17 November 2004 06:44 PM

Forgot to mention, you can't see the top grille on the classics, unless you're prepared to cut out the centre badge section, see photo
