S.E.C.S shift light indicator

I was just wondering if anyone on here as attemped to make their own. I was going to attempt it and mount the led in the top of the steering column.
Any advice would go a long way!

i should imagine its only a 12v led. Try buying one from halfords or a local motorsave style place and giving it a go. RS and FEC sell better panel mount leds.

I have tried a 12v led and this does not work. does it need to be a ac or dc?

I have manged to sort the led and plan to mount it in the tacho.
Just another thought i may add a sounder so it gives the same effect as an Sti.
any suggestions as to where to get such a device?

Is it a 12v LED - or is it a lower voltage one??
