Off to New York next week! - Recommendations

Going with a mate and looking to build a list of things to do in The Big Apple!
My shortlist so far contains 'Hooters' which I have located less than one mile north from our hotel ;)

Hooters is alright but for sure find yourself a traditional Diner. They rock.

New copy of the rough guide was published on 1st october 2004. Well worth buying. I've just come back from NY, and found it invaluable for choosing restaurants etc..

Yeah, she was a cracker. Really nice friendly girl. There were plenty in there but she was really sweet. Had to get a pic and cop a quick feel. ;)

This was Toronto btw. Hooters is cool, every man must visit one atleast once.

Agreed.

The Helicopter tour I did was amazing we got picked up outside Empire State building, they do different types (longer for more $) the one we picked worked out to be about £120 each but IMO well worth it :)

TGI Fridays on Times Square was another good experiance along with the horse drawn carriage ride which starts on times square. Times Square at night is a MUST!

Also Central Park was very  again do the horse d c ride, goes from outside the Plaza hotel (where I stayed). 5th ave good to do also :D

Loads to do, I'm normally completely un-organised but I did the tourist thing and bought a guide book and planned alot before we got there, glad I did :)

We flew with Virgin and dressing smartly worked ;) my girlfriend and I got a free upgrade from Premium Economy to 1st :D :D :D

Hope this helps
Matt :D :D

NY is a great place but personally i think your mad going atm with the security as it is. There are police on every corner and the airport people seem very tough and rude in their approach, its put me off from going again even though its an amazing city, shame really. We had many bomb scares and i got tackled by 3 armed security staff for carrying a bloody camera. Its well and truely turned into a police state and will get worse, then its the uk's turn.
