In a word.. Yes.. The STI8 has the high level spoiler that goes straight up, where as the sti7 didnt have this, it was a highish level spoiler but not as high at the sti8 and was a diffeent more sculptured shape.

Why do you ask :ponder2:

My production Manager has a MY03, and he bought my STi7 spoiler from my MY01 when it went back to the contract hire co.

He's now decided that he wants an STi8 spoiler instead, didn't think they were that much different but it looks like they are!

RRH 19 October 2004 07:18 PM

Just to add it's not me that wants one as I'd look a bit of a tw at with one on me wagon ;):D

What colour is he after? I may be able to help!

Can someone tell me what the difference is please?

I thought they were the same when I parked next to an STi 7.

Doh!!!!

The official Subaru site shows both MY01-02 and MY02-onwards as having the same spoiler, part number E7210FE000VI:

the STi7 spoiler is a bit 22b ish, the STi8 appears to be straighter and more upright, and maybe a bit bigger.

Nathan L 20 October 2004 08:17 PM

Well I can honestly say I've never noticed a difference :o
