You want to look at the STI panel filter, you can get them from www.scoobymania.co.uk

:ponder2: hello simon, wich is the better, green or sti?????

TonyBurns 16 October 2004 08:21 PM

STi ;)
But then again, they are the only official subaru makers of panel filters (its a subaru japan accessory, designed for STi's) and they are good, i know, ive got one fitted (MY03 JDm STi) they will probably not give you much in the way of bhp but your torque will go up ;)

ok, sti it is, still cant sus how 2 buy 1 online from sed webby, can find the filter, just no check out type sytem????? is it me

If you check out the 1st edition of scoobymag it reviews and assesses all of these filters stating their power gains over standard etc.
Won'y give out the details as the mags editor is just starting off and dont wanna give out his research for free and hurt the mags circulation online!!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps

Ravage 16 October 2004 08:32 PM

ty 4 the advice, where wud i get 1 of them there mags from???

TonyBurns 16 October 2004 08:33 PM

I can definately tell you i got extremely good gains from an STI panel filter (12bhp and 15lbs of torque), 2 runs before fitting, fitted whilst on the rollers, 2 runs after, increase was very apparent. JDM STi's will benefit most from these as thats what they were designed for, having other mods may compromise the performance gains of filters in power figures, what you will get is better top end freedom, and considering that my car with just under 7k now is pushing 311bhp and 331lbs of torque with JUST the STI panel filter as the performance mod (i do have a backbox but that doesnt make much difference, 1bhp would be nice ;)) i think it speaks for itself ;)

Oh i should state that i had mine originally fitted at just over 2k miles, the car pushed out 288bhp and 297lbs of torque standard (inc back box), the increase was up to 299 (did push 300bhp) and 312lbs of torque.
