Floyd 10 October 2004 05:27 PM

Good idea Simo! I may just have to persuade them to let me have a spin in it first too ;) Think I saw it on the forecourt last week whilst they were pulling a few door dinks out of it ;)

Funny that I thought Arrons new WR1 felt a bit loose when I did 200 laps of Donington in it yesterday:p

flat-spot 14 October 2004 05:22 PM

200 laps round Donnington - without spinning off Andy?

that's more than you did around Rye House in the good old days!

ARRON BIRD 15 October 2004 08:53 AM

Very funny you bunch of muppets!!!!"
Not one of you is capable of ragging it in the same manner as me anyway as you all drive like coffin dodgers especially Andy O Hasbeen ;)
Dunno what day were doing the bike show but I reckon on preview day.
Oh and the car comes today.
Will post some pics if I get a chance so you can all have a look at another WR1 that looks very much the smae as all the others!!!!

flat-spot 15 October 2004 08:57 AM

the dig about spinning off, was at Andy not you

I know mate.
Thing is I probably spun off at Rye as many times as he did!!!!!!
Great circuit

flat-spot 15 October 2004 12:31 PM

did you used to race karts at rye the same time as Andy and I then?

ARRON BIRD 15 October 2004 01:52 PM

Yep.
Andy was British Champ same time as I was struggling to make ends meet i 100 National
Andy was in Supers.
I raced mostly at Kimbolton.Blackbush etc

Andrew O'Hara 15 October 2004 02:17 PM

Arron couldn't hack it in with the big boys :D. I was lucky to have raced at that level for so many years, mind you, I should have won the British title the year before, 1988, but I got taken out by a certain Mr. Moynihan, but I did it the next year.....the rest they say is history...flat in Monaco, yacht in the harbour, fleet of cars, super model wife:p

J

Should suit Arron then, but he will probably change the rinses for Highlights!!:p

Josh L 15 October 2004 10:24 PM

You're probably right, only real men have a blue rinse!

Although I've heard he's ordered the STi net curtains for it!

Josh

I`m well up for a karting event.
I have far more talent than O`Hasbeen just didnt have the budget.
Mind you selling one`s sphincter to support racing was always a little on the extreme side in my book !!!
He is so fat now the old four stroke lawnmower engined karts will probablt struggle to shift him out of the pit lane.

So far WR1 is.............very impressive.....pardon the punn ;)
Very smooth and seems better bolted together than my last car but probably cos its new.
I have had the back out in it already and Mr Fuzzy Felsted has sent me some reading matter on the DCCDABCDEF thing so I can maintain my maximum attack at all times.
Watch out Petter as blue rinse is about to enter the World hair straightening Championships!!!

flat-spot 17 October 2004 09:21 PM

ah, so you take the running in very seriously then Arron

flat-spot 17 October 2004 09:23 PM

I'm up for the karting, it would put another smile on my face going past Andy...we should make the weight equal (kart and driver) on equal machines though

ARRON BIRD 17 October 2004 09:25 PM

I take running in to a new dimension ;)
Dont thrash it just lean on it a little every now and again.
Dont work on the muppet technique of under 4000 for a 1000 miles have an oil change then spank the arse of it
Works for me!!!!!

Floyd 18 October 2004 07:44 AM

Running in - warm engine thoroughly then thrash for the first 20 miles.
Voila! (Lets face it that's what the PDI guy does!)
