Superb in my opinion.

I'm answering questions on a regular basis before securing a sale. Plus I go on to sell something else that they hadn't originally thought of until they mailed me.

Why do you think it's póo?

Freak 09 October 2004 12:46 PM

Very useful
Im answering them all the time- you can always reply to them privately rather than replying on the item listing

paulr 09 October 2004 02:02 PM

It doesnt always work though.Nearly as bad as NTL email.

hoskib 09 October 2004 02:55 PM

no problems here, secured a sale of pods i make to a guy in portugal:)

i only answer privately though, looks a bit **** IMO to see loads of Q&As on a listing.

You never use that path though!! First question gives you their private email, then you talk as much as you want.

i think its most of the time poo

1, common questions i ask

how much is shipping to the uk

2, what is the condition of it.

common questions that asks me.
how much is shipping to x country.
do you take payment by x

what i think is funny when someone asks me a question and they are happy about it they will bid £1 over the current high bidder , but to be beaten by another bidder at the last minute by another......£1

what pisses me off, is sellers that dont respond to questions asked..

yes VERY true i remember having the question answered 1 hour b4 the auction ends and i'm not at the pc,
theres once i asked 2 days before the auction ends and they answered 1 day AFTER it ended but the reply was
"sorry it is now sold"

i think sometimes if they don't answer maybe they are hiding something

lots of people dont use their pc like that though....i have mates that will put something on ebay and not turn the pc on again until the thing is sold...not everyone is a slave to their email!

Just pay it without the 4% if they argue Inform them that surcharging is not allowed on ebay ;)

It's a good service. I'm answering questions all the time. There seemed to be some problem recently though where each question was sent twice.

You get the occassional idiot. Had a woman email me 10 times asking the same bloody question and each time asking me why I wouldn't reply when I had but she obviously had issues with her ISP or email setup.
I had one guy who emailed to tell me my postage price was a rip off. I don't charge more than the actual cost so I don't know where he was coming from. Emailed him back telling how that was the actual cost. He replies telling me that I was "taking the p*ss". I checked the silly sod's own auctions to see he was way overcharging. I then posted a question on his sale asking about his extortionate postage rates and never heard from the little sh*t again.
