fight off carjackers with this...

www.x-marker.net

Geezer in my kung-fu class told me about this stuff. Basically it's like pepper spray but has this foam sh1te in it. Spray it on the attackers face/eyes. The more they rub the more it foams up. Not only that but it leaves their face and hands stained blue for a good few weeks, making them easy for police to track down.

I know i'll be making space in my glovebox for a can of this

m3matt 05 October 2004 11:24 PM

cool, where can we get it? :)

Redkop 05 October 2004 11:26 PM

ermmm you could try www.x-marker.net :D:D

T5NYW 05 October 2004 11:31 PM

Good idea ;) as long as it's only one Toerag

IMHO it's only a lump of Tin(OK, I love it to bit's) but it is replacable. These people get Violent enough without Provoking them. Sorry they can have the Car without a struggle.

Hurt any of my family and Charles Bronson come to mind :D

X-Marker is legal in the UK.
Section 5(1) (b) of the Firearms Act 1968 prohibits any weapon or whatever
description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other thing. Thus, because X-Marker doesn’t contain any substances a court in this country may consider noxious and the can itself is not designed to discharge a noxious substance, it is not prohibited by section 5(1) (b) and does not come under the control of the firearms legislation.

:D

Carjacking happens to me every day in my local ASDA; I think I'll buy a crate.....

scrappydoo 06 October 2004 02:00 AM

Methinks its a load of rubbish. Those videos hardly show anything, besides they have to be within reaching distance for you to accuratly get them, anyone who comes that close to me for whatever reason gets an immediate couple of punches, job done.

If you really need a spray go to B&Q and buy some of that expanding foam to fill gaps or use that wasp nest stuff which can spray about 15ft:D

same as me m8, if they are at arms lenght then a good punch on the end of there nose does the job:D

highlander68k 06 October 2004 07:21 AM

Using this on someone who is unarmed might be ok, and then knocking some sense into them, but I don't know if I would attempt to use this on someone with a gun, or even a knife.

Good for stitching your mates up if they have a few too many :D

Cold Turkey 06 October 2004 08:33 AM

is this a windup ?

those videos look more like a Benny Hill sketch :lol1:

Really? Anyone? "Excuse me? Do you have the time?" BANG! Punch in the face! ;)

ajm 06 October 2004 09:50 AM

Strap one of these to your roof.... you'll get no problem with carjacking!

Had this the other day in B & Q myself.

Bloke in orange overalls came up right close to me and asked me without any provocation from me "Do you want Decking?"

Managed to get the first punch in.

Third time this week I have seen this one on here, the oldies are the best. :D

I suffer from car jacking everytime I have new tyres fitted. I rang the fuzz the first time it happened and they didn't want to know.

The other times since I've used this stuff and had 4 or 5 fúckers in green overalls rolling around the workshop calling me names but not being able to do anymore!!

Debatable at best: it's up to the courts to decide what a "noxious substance" is. There have been many attempts to make a spray defence that is legal in this country, but all have failed (most involve skatole, so that's probably just as well...), because any spray which actually effects the target in any way will probably fall foul of the law, and any spray which doesn't fall foul of the law is probably useless.

ok, the videos aren't the best but if the British T'ai Tsung champion says it's hot sh1t then i ain't gonna dispute it. He told me it was 100% legal otherwise he would not be recommending it.

Just thought it was worth a mention having read a few posts about car jackings being on the increase etc.

1) He's a lawyer then?

2) That means in English: no-one has tested it in court yet. Since the maximum penalty for possession of a section five firearm is seven years in chokey, do you feel lucky?

1) do not know, however you sound like you are ;)

2) Ok, fair point about the court thing. Guess the only way to be certain is to wait for a precedent to be set. If anyone tries to jump me then i'll gladly put it to the test...

_Meridian_ 07 October 2004 07:46 AM

I'm not a lawyer, but my work means I get some knowledge of it. We used to deal with CS and pepper sprays in my team up until about four years ago, and we had a number of people phoning up who wanted to market defence sprays and were trying to find a way around the law. The usual mix was a combination of dye and skatole or dye and butylmercaptan.

seems like sticking your fingers in their eyes and scribbling on them with a biro would wrok as well?

Mogsi 08 October 2004 12:03 PM

LOL...

Let's hope they hold still until your finished.....

Stop spraying when you are sure that the whole face is covered in foam, than go away as fast as you can to warn the Police.

I presume he is only good at sport side of it rather than real life else he would be using his hands rather than a ponsy spray can??

Just picture the situation if you did have it.. the car in front stalls and the guy trys to restart it.. he is too close for you to get past so you sit and wait.. he then gets out and passenger gets out and the driver looks puzzled walks towards your window to talk to you, you open your window and he grabs you by the neck and pulls you our of the open window.. or he points a gun at you, or he pulls a knife.. there is no way on this earth you would have time to lean across and look in the glove box for a can of spray..

hedgehog 08 October 2004 01:02 PM

The problem here is that if you carry a weapon for your own defence then you leave yourself open to all sorts of nasty battering by the police and the courts. With a substance such as this there can be no question that you were carrying it with intent.

You can imagine it in court

Thieving scumbag "I'd just stalled my car and went back to explain when this bloke attacked me. I have medical evidence that I'm scarred for life. I can no longer work and am having to live on benefit and DLA and nicking cars and stuff. I certainly wasn't going to hijack his car and there is no evidence that I was and you are not allowed to see my 432 other convictions for theft so that's me in the clear then."

I know it's unfair but that is the way it is in this country.

Once I get control of the country you will be allowed to slit his throat, dump the body at the side of the road and charge the relatives for getting your car cleaned up. The PC do-gooders will be against the wall on day one. Anyone want to vote for me? The frightening thing is that, in view of the state of the country and the treatment of the generally law abiding citizen, there are probably a lot of people who would vote for such policies.

The bottom line is that we need a change in the law to support the normal citizen in their fight against crime. You should be allowed to protect yourself and persistant criminals should be hunted down and removed from society with no chance of a return.
