Damn, I was reading that, click, page 2, the requested thread is no longer available.

Jay m A 04 October 2004 11:27 AM

what happened? I only got to page 7 and it went.

What was the outcome?

SiDHEaD 04 October 2004 11:29 AM

I requested it to be deleted because there was no point without the pics and I wouldn't want to get ScoobyNet in any trouble.

Under the circumstances I am quite happy that it has gone. It's just the way this place is.

davegtt 04 October 2004 11:31 AM

PM me the pic then :D I was reading that with great interest :D

ProperCharlie 04 October 2004 11:32 AM

can you let us know what the result was?

Paulo P 04 October 2004 11:32 AM

Shame that was looking like it was getting interesting :lol1:

It's a shame that in this world now that you aren't allowed to have an opinion anymore without someone sueing you :(

Jay m A 04 October 2004 11:35 AM

I was still reading the thread yet I never got to see the pics - I'm not interested in what she looks like - what I am interested in is the outcome, surely the story can unfold and conclude without deletion?

Alledgedly, hypothetically it is possible

Adrian F 04 October 2004 11:50 AM

Yeah i was up to page 10 and wanted to know what had happened today. Obviously Pics could cause the problems but let us know the out come please.

By the way how could the judge lock that man up for putting the video up on the net may be she should have thought of the consequences before cheating on her boy friend I bet if it had been a women posting the video of her cheating boy friend she would have been let off as she would of claimed she was tramatised by his lack of faithfullness! Probably turn out she could have sued him for emotional damage.

Iwan 04 October 2004 11:59 AM

It's PC gone mad again, you post pictures/video of someone blatantly thieving and who's side is the law on?

You guessed it

Dont talk a load of rubbish.

Blatantly theiving, most probably, but its not for us to decide.Secondly that doesn't justify her pic being posted all over the internet.
All credit to Sidhead for setting up the webcam and catching her at it,but he should have given the evidence to his boss and let him take it from there.

It was definate repeated theft, which was caught on camera. People who carry out a crime deserve to have it thrown back in their faces. Look at it realistically, naming (posting a picture) and shaming someone is hardly a "big" deal in the grand scheme of things is it? It's not like he did a Tony Martin and shot her in the back as she was walking off to the vending machine to spend her ill gotten gains.

ProperCharlie 04 October 2004 12:59 PM

the thread was a good laugh, but there were bound to be problems with it.

i mean, anyone could set up a webcam and capture an image of someone getting something out of a desk draw and claim they were stealing. that's why laws of slander etc exist.

still - good fun while it lasted. :)

i hope saxo boy managed to get her phone number. if not, i'm willing to pass along the details of a couple of cleaning firms that i use. ;)

But the reason it was taken down was Scoobynet and sidhead didnt want any legal repercussions which may have followed.

Nothing to do with being PC.
(as charlie says,it was a good laugh while it lasted though)

Fair enough, but the fact that there could be any legal comeback for exposing a thief is still pretty barking though isn't it.

paulr 04 October 2004 01:07 PM

We live in a society where the rights of the individual are paramount. This means potential crimianls have rights too, right or wrong thats how it is,....for the time being anyway.

ProperCharlie 04 October 2004 01:07 PM

Iwan - the whole point is that we *don't know* that she's a thief. We all *believe* that she is, as we read it on scoobynet, but there isn't any real *proof*.

yoza 04 October 2004 01:23 PM

Your honour.

The cleaner was also head of the CSHSE (Cleaning Staff Health and Safety Executive).

She was found to be transfering the 5p's to a larger container for safety reasons, this was going to be brought to the attention of the desks occupant, but unfortunately he was never there.

The cup was found to be brimming over with change and could have cause an unsuspecting cleaner personal injury, or worse.

If the cup was to have toppled over whilst vacuuming was in progress the 5p's could have jammed the fan on the Hoover causing the motor to overheat, thus setting fire to the building and all the cleaning staff therein.

That will be all your honour..

{Smug grin to witness stand}

......Will the prosecution witness please take the stand.

andypugh2000 04 October 2004 01:25 PM

We all shout about rights in this life but never responsibilities, where were HER resposibilities when she was helping herself to someone elses cash, name and shame i say :D

yoza 04 October 2004 01:27 PM

She wasnt helping herself, she was simply moving the coins to a safer place.

PS. You would make a good copper.

Let's be clear. It was scoobynet concerned about legal stuff. I will post the pics when and where (other than here i want). I'm not gonna bow down to the theiving scrubber.

She has absolutely NO right to be in my drawer. The video footage clearly shows her theiving it.

Geezer 04 October 2004 02:21 PM

I don't think anybody doubts that was happening, but you have to concede that it is not beyond the realms of possibility that you have framed her. We only have your word for it.

SN is wise to steer clear of this sort of stuff, but obviously you need to nail the cow!

Geezer

SiDHEaD 04 October 2004 02:40 PM

Clear from the video what happens. I just showed some nice screencaps because I thought people would be interested.. I just thought ppl might want to LOL at what i'd found.

Iwan 04 October 2004 02:45 PM

Just stick some signs up saying "CCTV in use" etc, preferably so they can be seen in the camera footage. Then you're totally covered if you want to broadcast them, you could even recover your losses by selling the tape to Sky to use in their next "Thieving pikeys caught on camera: 5" programme.

Markus 04 October 2004 02:47 PM

Damn, I always miss the good threads :D

So, you've reported it to your boss and it would appear to me that you think feck all is going to be done. Have you considered reporting this incident to the police, or perhaps even mentioning that fact to your boss? might spur them into action. I'd also have a little chat with the cleaning company, if they are not in-house, and mentioned the incident, possibly even present evidence, and also mention plod. Also, I'm sure the local rag could be interested in a story with regards to "don't employ this cleaning co, they are a bunch of theives".

Of course, the threat of going to plod and the local rag usually get things sorted out, not that I'd know anything about doing such things of course ;)

That or ask Astraboy for some "techniques" for resolving the issue :D
