Sound about right?

Just looking at an STi 5/6 Type R (not sure which)

MY99 - so I reckon its a V5
9000 miles - all Jap miles
22b bumber/bonnet
Roll cage
pace notes holder
Shift light + Apexi boost gauge
Prodrive drivers bucket with harnesses
Carbon rally style wing mirrors
Alloy (i think) radiator
Adjustable suspension (not sure what tho)
Roof scoop (over safari vent)
17" OZ Super T's
Plus all original equipment inc drivers seat and brand new carpet (so the cage can be taken out)
£17,000

What do you reckon..?

Im really keen on it and am very very seriously considering having a bash at it..

Any thought guys?

Cheers

J :)

Might be a dumb question, I can understand why you would have most of those mods, but why would you need a pace note holder on a road car? :Suspiciou

Crazy, fanatical previous jap owner... its got Grist and McRae on the rear windows :Whatever_ , it looks like a near exact replica (at the moment). I will be getting the "livery" removed and the majority of the mods put back to original state.

I thought it might have been used in anger too, but on closer inspection, just looks like some loony has enjoyed driving round Tokyo thing hes McRae!! :lol1:

i wud of said used in anger, well worth a serious check out be4 spending 17k on it m8!!!

hoskib 01 October 2004 07:42 PM

you can get a very nice V5/6 for a lot less than 17k.

personally sounds like it's has the tits thrashed out of it TBH.

nice spec, but do you really need all that in a road car? (unless you're planning on using it for a reccy car;))

oh, and 9k miles. yeah, right. full jap language service history?

save yourself at least 5k and have a look in the trader etc, or on here.

Maybe it's actually been used as a competition car i.e. thrashed to within an inch of it's life.

Nah,

I've had a pretty good dig round it this weekend, it looks like the genuine thing. I would say it hasnt been used in anger, no more than my UK one or anyone else's. Deffo not seen any stages, looks like the person who had it before was a serious enthusiast, he's even had a painting done of the car... found it in the boot with all the other goodies!

As for the mileage, looks to be genuine as well, the interior is unmarked. Looks like its been really well looked after.

Needless to say, put a deposit on... cant wait. I'll put some pics up after I get it.

Thanks for your comments.
