Smoking under hard accel
 

I have a My02 wrx with the below list of mods. (increase in wheel hp of 50 % over stock) Running 97 octane petrol, 1.2 bar boost.

The car gives a puff of smoke under hard accel. It is now using oil whereas it was not before. What could cause this to occur?

The smoke is blue in colour and comes from the back of the car out the exhaust. I cannot see anything from the drivers seat. It does not smoke on startup or on idle.

A chasing car saw the puff of smoke whenever I accelerated hard.

Black smoke, I sprint against a bloke in a Cossy who usually leaves the start line with a puff of smoke from his exhaust. He accidently mixed Toluene with his Optimax hence the puff of smoke.!!!!!!!!! Goes like a Rocket on steriods. I am sure you are a decent Guy check your Turbo or Valve guides

I run my Bugeye with a few mods but as yet not noticed any smoking as yet..:) I just wondered where abouts in the country you were ??
