Can you use an XboX controller on a PC?

Is there a convertor you can buy to allow use of an XboX controller on a PC?

Or....does anyone know of a joy pad that has the index finger throttle and brake controls as found on XboX (and PS"?) controllers?
By this I mean the analogue trigger controls that are on the front of the controller, on the stems of the joy pad., not the ordinary press once (digital) to fire button at the top of the stems.

Any help much appreciated. :)
