carbon propshaft.. ?
just flicking thru jap performance this month; on page 139 there is an ad for a carbon fibre propshaft..
http://www.torqline.com/product_detail_6.php what validity would this have? is it just F+F chic taken too far :cuckoo:? emperor's new clothes:nono:? or genuine performance must have:notworthy? www.torqline.com 01295 220130 |
Less mass to accellerate just as the flywheel etc in the trans.
I think with this prop you can throw away the 2 part Scooby part, less dead weight and super light. Better fitting super light wheels instead? 911 |
..or as well perhaps? ;) :norty:
(and no- im not buying one ..taking a couple of months off buying any more mods after the last months excess ;)) |
Spending tooooo much ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ !
If the car is serious then shedding weight is the real answer, Colin Chapman was right, 'Add less weight'. Getting a Scoob to 1000Kg will do wonders dynamically, but I'm not brave enough to realy butcher the car: Plastic doors, no window regulators, carbon front/back and plastic wings/bumpers should get you towards it. 16'' 5Kg wheels (etc) and prop! Just where does it stop? It does start when someone starts to sell the racer parts and not the bull sh*t shiney stuff. 911 :norty: |
