Hi guys.

It looks like I will be in the UK from Aug 31 to Sept 8.

I was wondering if there was anything going on (will be in manchester area), or if there is anywhere I can rent a Impreza turbo (really want to try driving one once).

Thanks.

HI THERE
You may well struggle to find an Imprezza Turbo on anyones rental fleet. There may be a specialist sportscar company that does one although i have not seen one yet. Might be worth putting a post in the 'Northern' area of the events section to see if there is anything on. You may get luck and get the offer of a drive although do not forget that it is grim up North.

Good luck

Where are you from?

PH

You could try being cheeky and booking a test drive at a dealers (there's a list on

tulit 24 July 2000 05:53 PM

How do test drives work in the UK?

In canada, you can just walk into a dealer and take a car out basically.

Do i need to normally book ahead there?

Thanks.

harryh 24 July 2000 05:59 PM

Depends on the dealer, but booking ahead does no harm at all, neither does trying to sound wealthy http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif . (But don't tell them you are resident it Canada)

Pity your not further south, could have arranged at least a passenger ride in one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

tulit 24 July 2000 07:33 PM

How far south ian?

Ian Cook 24 July 2000 07:36 PM

hertfordshire, St albans to be more precise.

tulit 24 July 2000 07:39 PM

what approx distance is that?

i think i will be visiting certain parts of the UK. im actually staying with family, so if its not too far, (and if you wouldnt mind), i would love a ride in your car.

Ian Cook 24 July 2000 07:50 PM

30 miles north of London so quite a way south. Will mail you a map, give you a rough idea !!!
